Downtown Disney Shops – H to M
Do you fancy a spot of shopping? If you answered yes, then you will absolutely love Downtown Disney, an eclectic range of brilliant shops with ample free parking. This is the continuation of my brief introduction to the shops on offer.
HoypoloiHoypoloi is a gallery full of ceramics, sculptures, art glass and numerous other ornamental items. Hundreds of one of a kind pieces including beautiful hand crafted wooden boxes, wind chimes, zen art and a selection of bed and bath products.
Lego Imagination CenterFrom the traditional buckets of Lego to amazing detailed models of pirate ships, doll’s houses and spaceships, can all be purchased at this one of a kind Lego store. Wonderful exhibits provide the ideas whilst the goods on the shelves provide the wherewithal to build them. Also available are Lego branded T-shirts, watches and even bed linens. Outside the store is an interactive playground with masses of bricks for children of every age. Make sure you look out for the Brickley the Sea Serpent in the lagoon.
Magic MastersStep into the Magic Master shop and you could almost be in Harry Houdini’s personal library. Bookshelves full of magic memorabilia, age-old posters of travelling magicians and illusionists, a fireplace and a mahogany desk from behind which the shop’s magician performs amazing card tricks and illusions. Everything, which is performed by the magician, is available for the public to purchase and should you do so, you will be taken through the secret door hidden in the bookcase. It is in this room that you will be taught the intricacies of your chosen trick, so that when you return home you too will be able to amaze and enthral your audiences. It’s just Magic!
MagnetronMagnetron has over a staggering twenty thousand magnets in their store. The walls are made of steel and are covered in every magnet imaginable. Every so often the lights will dim whilst the store’s generator powers up. Magnets sing, talk, ring, beep or glow in the dark; you name it Magnetron sells it. From Sesame Street’s Big Bird to The Simpsons, assorted animals to fake food that looks good enough to eat, from kitsch to classy. Your refrigerator will never look the same again!
Mickey’s GrooveIt’s all about the mouse! To celebrate seventy-five years of Mickey Mouse this incredible shop features everything to do with Mickey the infamous Mouse. Toys, pins, clothing, lamps, posters, if you can think of it they sell it! With high quality goods and everything you would expect from a Disney store, it’s sure to be a Disney fan’s dream come true.
