Eagle Ridge Mall
Eagle Ridge Mall is a shopping centre on Highway 27 which is often missed by tourists to Orlando which I think, is a shame.
Go to junction 55 off I4 and south on H27.
The Mall has all the usual department stores like J C Penney, Sears and Dillard’s but also has some unique little stores The Cigar Factory and Karley’s Gifts and many more. Of course you will find Victoria’s Secret, which is a wonderful store for both women and you gift seeking men.
One of things I noticed in the mall was the abundance of jewellers, nearly all with discounts being offered, famous names like Kay and Treasure Island.
Eagle Ridge Mall is quite old and has a unique old fashioned carousel for the kid in you, or indeed with you. This is situated by the food hall. As you enter the mall to park, keep left and you can’t miss it, it in inside the mall next to Garfield’s restaurant.
We went down on 14th December 2010, not being our first visit we knew where everything was, but as we strolled the corridors of the mall we came across lots of special events for Christmas. Cars to be won and of course the picture with Santa can’t be missed. Each seasonal festive occasion Eagle Ridge always joins in. At Easter they have an Easter egg hunt throughout the mall.
This is not only a mall for shopping it is also an entertainment centre. They have a 32 lane bowling centre; you can also eat here at the Station House Bar & Grill, a 12 screen cinema showing the latest blockbusters and a game room. To get to the bowling alley drive left past the main entrance to the mall and you will see it on your right. The cinema is inside the mall in section D, to see what is on before you go look at the mall website.
If you don’t want to be entertained just to shop but fancy a bite to eat, there is the usual food hall and just outside the main mall, Bob Evans and Chilis.
I think I found three hair stylists and beauty shops along with various nail bars throughout the mall.
I know you can get most this in the Florida Mall or one of the various other malls near Orlando, but really Eagle Ridge Mall is worth a visit. This is where the locals shop and is never ever as busy as the other malls.
