Florida Trip 2017 Day 7 Part B
Now Lake Buena Vista was the first retail outlet that we discovered on our very first trip to Florida it is not on the scale of most of the others but still has this nice almost cosy feel to it, there a few designer shops but also a vanity fair where they sell a lot of Jeans based brands at low prices, I like to have a rummage around it's more in my price range as I love a bargain.
An hour or so later we thought we best head off down to old town and get parked up etc. that would allow us enough time to have a browse round the shops, have a few beers maybe a bit to eat and just generally soak up the atmosphere.
Now we have been to Old town many times and normally you park on the rough grass field to the side for free or on the road but this time there was nowhere to park on road which was unusual too but we some discovered why the grass field had been tarmacked over and a very posh cark park put there now and it was quite expensive but we had no choice but to park up and pay this was why there was lots of parked cars on the road.
We strolled into he parking area where the cars taking part in the cruise were, and Will and I had a drool over the big v8 engine American beasts, if you’re a petrol head make sure you visit the Friday or Saturday night cruises for your fix of burbling V8’s and petrol fumes etc. I can heartedly recommend it.
I really like Old Town it has an authentic feel to it and they owners are really trying to improve it and clearly, some money has been spent developing it but there are quite a few empty shops hopefully it will improve as the spend more money on it.
We are in and out of the little shops there we always have to go to Black crystal and Shirl loves the place although to me its only rocks out the ground but it’s a must visit every time, it’s nice to see some of the shops have been there a long time it’s all very quaint and does have a nice atmosphere.
A few beers later and were lining the street waiting for the cruise to start, cars start to appear and the rumble of the v8’s start as they pass the sound is awesome and me and my lad look at each other a nod of approval and a silly grin were all boys at heart!
