Getting the best out of your holiday in Orlando.
There are many ideas that will make your holiday in Orlando really special and the holiday of a lifetime.
If you can manage it, book a premium economy seats or seats with extra leg room, it makes quite a difference.
Book the best villa you can afford.
Plan your packing carefully. Airlines are getting very tough on excess baggage these days, so do weigh your luggage before leaving for the airport. Place all liquids of less than 100 mls which you wish to take in your hand baggage, in a clear plastic bag to save time at the airport. Anything over 100mls must go in the hold luggage.
Remember, before packing all your toiletries, that you can buy them cheaper in Orlando. The same goes for your sun protection creams. On the subject of sun creams, use them every day even if it is cloudy as the burning rays can still get through. You will not need special clothes for the evening as dining in Orlando is very, very casual – shorts and t-shirts being the normal mode of dress. Also, you will need to save room for all the wonderful bargains you can buy there.
Once you have arrived, plan your days to make sure you get the rest breaks in between that you will need. If you try to go to a theme park every single day, you will end up exhausted. You could be on your feet for twelve hours in hot sun. Spending a day at your villa every so often can be really relaxing and you know the children will love spending a day playing in the pool. After all you have spent good money for the villa so why not enjoy it to the full.
You could even go a bit further afield to one of the many beaches with their miles of golden sands on either the East or the West coast. These journeys should only take an hour to an hour and a half by car and you could have a great day sun bathing or swimming in the sparkling blue waters. The nearest beach to Orlando is Cocoa Beach which is close to the Kennedy Space Center. At this location you could spend the morning at the space center and the afternoon on the beach. A picnic could be fun too.
