K'nex display in Fort Lauderdale
Are you in Florida before the 6th of may 2012? you are? that is great, I have a wonderful temporary display to tell you about.
This is a K' nex exhibition (you know what they are, those pesky bits of building pieces that you pull out of the hoover) held in The Museum of Discovery and Science.
And build they certainly have!
There is a roller coaster that stands more than 10 feet tall, a 6 foot ferris wheel and many different kinds of swing rides that go from 3 feet to 10 feet.
The one that they are most proud of is the Aserpets Spiral This is a new kid on the block as far as roller coasters are concerned.
Now you can just enjoy this as an awesome display of K' nect building or you can also learn all about angular velocity and you can also do experiments based on linear and physical motion. So once again, this museum has slipped in a bit of education in with all the fun.
And of course, if you have ever visited a Lego display or indeed Legoland there is a chance to build a creation of your own.
The children will not want to leave their structure behind and they do not have to. The clever K' nect people have fixed it so you weigh your structure and they charge by the ounce and pound: simple, huh!
This temporary K' nex exhibition is housed in The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale.
This museum is open 365 days a year (yes even Christmas Day and Thanksgiving) The opening times are 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. monday to saturday and from noon to 5 p. m. on sundays.
Allow at least 4 hours to explore this wonderful museum and even longer if you decide to visit the IMAX at the same time. Buy your tickets together to make a substantial saving.
It will take you about 3 hours to drive there from your vacation rental home so start off early or even grab a motel for the night. That way it will give you time to properly explore Fort Lauderdale.
