Outdoor World - Part 2
The biggest area of clothing was without doubt the area of camouflage clothing this was simply unbelievable! The Americans really do take there hunting seriously there was every kind of clothing from boots through to hats in different types of camouflage. There are even camo clothing for the kids including the little ones, and when I mean little I mean even before they are old enough to walk, also there was even some scouting seats all in camo that could be hung on a tree whilst you lay in wait for your prey.
But more surprising there was a huge counter area close by selling all manner of gun from a simple bb gun, to a colt magnum through to shot guns and many many kinds of guns that I have to say draw your eye to them. This is fairly standard stuff in the USA any good sporting store sell firearms including the ever so popular Wal-Mart, the hunting gear is certainly exciting for the men folk anyhow I know myself and the lads spent a long time looking at all the goods available.
Next was the boats area this is probably the biggest display of boating gear including boats that I have ever seen, there were small canoe type craft, small power dinghies right through to what we would call cruiser, there was a great display of these outside in the car park, all of which had steps up to them so you could climb aboard and have a good look around them, although I have never been to a boat yard I doubt that you would be allowed the freedom that you were allowed on these boats at outdoor world.
Not only were there boats but it was there was a chandelier department where you could buy absolutely everything from a washer, GPS to an out board motor. I have never been a fan of boats but being a guy I am drawn to all the gadget and devices that there are for boats in this store
Next along was the pets area and if you are into cats and dogs they have lots of gear for you, with everything from a collar to a coat for your dog along with all the normal stuff such as leads and collars including some electronic shock training collars!
All in all Outdoor Worlds is one of myself and the lads favourite stores as it is simply huge and the range of goods its stock is amazing its worth the visit just to see it. What did we buy? Well this was the first ever place we bought some beef jerky, which I now love! Great if you on the Atkins diet…. but that’s a whole different story.
