Special Sundowner at Animal Kingdom.
If you are visiting Animal Kingdom any time soon you should take note that there will be all sorts of special events taking place in the early evening.
This event is called Special Sundowner and the fun will start at a quarter past 6.
There will be a buzzing street party at Tuskers House : in Asia there is a Festival of the Seas featuring food demos and a D. J. is hosting a Beauty and Beastly art exhibition.
So having whetted your appetite, let us elaborate.
Discovery Island is where the iconic tree is situated. Here, there will be 2 live bands to entertain you. These are announced as Viva Gaia Street Band and The Island Groove Isand Groove is a Steel Band if you had not already guessed!
If you head for the flamingo exhibit there will be lots of games and activities for the young ones.
Harambe Village has juice and wine tastings and a nightly party with 2 more live groups of musicians. These are the Tam Tam players and The Buridika Band.
You can also enjoy the work of various artists here; they include paintings, sculpture and hand made jewellery.
Finally head over to Anandapur where they will be brewing tea and holding cookery demos. Ethnic dances will be performed and speciality foods will be on offer.
Bhangra D. J. Annan will be providing the entertainment
This event will last right through june and starts at 6. 15 p. m. every night
I love these special events that Disney are prone to put on. I well remember the nightly beach parties we attended at Typhoon Lagoon many years ago. Sent us all home in high spirits and longing to return.
Just like the beach parties of old, there is no extra charge for the event; what a bonus!
If you have not been to Animal Kingdom yet then this may be just the opportunity to try it. We have loved it from day one from the wonderful Safari, to the Bug Show to The amazing Lion KIng show it is so far away from your idea of a zoo than it is possible to be.
