The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show Universal islands of Adventure
If you have never visited this live action stunt show then you simply must as this is one of the best in any of the Florida theme parks, there is plenty of action with explosion fire and water but what makes it most enjoyable is the humour!
If you want to get a seat close to the action its best to arrive early 50 minutes or so in busy times but as with all the very best shows and attraction pick and choose your times to get in to see them at the least popular times for a better view.
The action takes place at a mysterious grotto and is a very spectacular setting which is littered with the wrecks of ships that have been lured to their misfortune by an evil sorceress.
This adventure features Sinbad, the beautiful Princess Amoura and the evil witch Miseria but the star of the show is the wise cracking sidekick Kabob who is just plain funny.
Sinbad and Kabob sail into the grotto to find lots and lots of wonderful treasure but soon are doing battle with Miseria for the release of the princess Amoura. Miseria unleashes a number of her ghoulish villains to fight with Sinbad and there is lots of sword fighting and swinging from ropes etc.
You will also see lots of explosions and water jets shooting water into the open air of the amphitheatre, but be warned a couple of the places you may sit do get wet so if you don’t want to get wet then a good way to keep dry is if the seating of area around your feet is wet then don’t sit there!
There is a lot of audience participation in the show the traditional pantomime “he is behind you” is used quite a lot and the kids really love getting involved in the participation with the show, but for me it’s the humour that makes it a definite visit every time we go to the islands of adventure.
Kabob is always well played with a slight sarcasm to his wise cracking humour although still silly enough for the kids to love it, lots of pyrotechnic flashes, bangs and explosion to keep the kids suitably entertained.
The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show this is definitely a show to see and should be on everyone’s tick list, but remember to get there early for a good seat.
