Visit The Loop
We were delighted a few years ago when we heard that a new retail area was to be developed in the Kissimmee area on the John Young Parkway. Although we often went to the Florida Mall it could be quite a trek there in the busy holidays when there was a lot of traffic.
Wilder Companies announced they were to develop the area with a mix of anchor stores, a cinema, restaurants and cafes for all the family in a pedestrian friendly environment.
Included in the development is the Regal Cinema a 16-screen theatre with stadium seating and digital sound in all auditoriums. As usual there is plenty of popcorn, drinks and candy on sale here. If you have teenagers that really do not want to do the “shopping” thing you can leave them here to enjoy their film whilst you go unhindered on your shopping trip.
The Loop is open Monday to Saturday 10:00 a. m. to 9:30 p. m. and Sunday 11:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. The cinema, restaurants and some stores may be open with extended hours. However if you want to go to a specific store outside these hours you will need to check.
My father always likes to visit the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits where he enjoys browsing, and in deed buying, the wines cigars and gourmet foods that they sell.
American Eagle Outfitters is designed for the 16 to 34 year-old market. Here you can get high-quality versatile clothing at good prices.
If you have girls in their early teens go to Justice. They cater for the tween girl and have loads of choice again at reasonable prices.
My Mother and I always spend a couple of hours in Kohls where there are often bargains to be had. They have quite a few sale items and vouchers can be used to get discounts. Kohls stock clothes, shoes and accessories for women, children and men as well as lots of products for the home.
If you like arts and crafts Michaels is well worth a visit. You usually can find coupons to cut out of newspapers for money off items at Michaels.
The Loop also has one of our favourite stores J C Penneys who appear to have a continuous sale. We usually end up with lots of towels that we have to somehow get into our suitcase for our journey home!
No visit to the Loop is complete without going to Ross. We find you can get so many bargains here. Mother usually goes for shoes and handbags whilst I tend to go with the girls to get jeans and other teenage items that are very expensive in the UK but reasonably priced here.
My Father usually starts to lag behind towards the end of our shopping trip so goes off to one of the many bars or cafes in search of refreshments.
The Loop is well worth a visit as there is something for all the family.
