Sneak Preview - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade Shops and Restaurants
As you enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter through the iconic archway, the first thing you will see (on your right) will be Hogsmeade Station. The distinctive red steam locomotive (bellowing out steam) whistles to announce your entry into this magical world.
Just past Hogsmeade Station and to your left will be Zonko' s joke shop and Honeydukes Sweetshop, selling jokes, gadets and sweets that will include Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott' s (Every Flavour Beans). Honeydukes, as we know, is famous for their special fudge, so it wouldn' t be surprising (although not confirmed) that this yummy concoction might make the final menu.
Past Honeydukes will be the main village square of Hogsmeade. This will include the Three Broomsticks restaurant and the Hog' s Head Pub. The Three Broomsticks will be a medieval affair with wide open spaces and high up catwalks and stairways, somewhat reminiscent of the moving stairs of Hogwarts Castle itself. The Hogshead Pub will be the place to go to try a Butterbeer or Pumpkin juice. The perfect way to cool down on a hot, sunny Florida afternoon
Opposite the Three Broomsticks will be the Owlery, a cool, open, relaxing place to meet, sit, rest and admire the owls resting above you in the roof trusses. Next door to the Owlery will be the Owl Post, with owls nesting, ready to send post out to the rest of the world. The Owl Post will also be a fully functional Post Office and will be the only place in the world where post will be franked with the official Hogsmeade postmark.
Across from the Owl Post will be Olivander' s Wand Shop, packed from top to bottom with dusty old boxes of wands of all shapes and sizes. This attraction, brought from Diagon Alley, will feature an interactive experience where you can be fitted for your own wand. Remember that you don' t choose the wand, the wand chooses you!
Complete your walk through Hogsmeade with a visit to Dervish and Banges where you will be able to pick up keepsakes and gifts like Spectrespecs and Remembralls.
All in all, a truly magical experience! !
