10 GOOD REASON TO VISIT THE SOUTH WEST

MARCO ISLAND is the largest of the Gulf Coast islands measuring in at 4x6 square miles nestling in mangrove swamp.

Wonderful beaches and 40 golf courses make this a haven for exhausted holidaymakers.

To the north is Rookey Bay Natural Estuarine Reserve and to the south you will find the Coller Seminole State Park.

NAPLES famous for the top end shopping and restaurants it also offers easy access to the Everglades. Since the waters are very calm the beach is good for children and we always enjoy watching the anglers from the pier.

EVERGLADES A vast wetland not seen anywhere else in the world. Because one third of the Everglades is covered in water, the best way to see it is by boat.

SANIBEL A ravishing island accesible by a spectacular toll bridge, Sanibel has managed to retain it's natural charm, despit its popularity with holidaymakers.

One third of the island is covered by a wonderful State Park which affords you a view of the natural fauna and flora of south west Florida.

Considered uninhabitable until more recent times because of the mosquito poulation they have taken preventative measures which means you will be unlikely to see even one.

VENICE a very quaint sea side town which is known as the sharks tooth capital of the world. The beaches are awash with them.

It is located almost equidistant from Fort Myers and Tampa and the architecture is Italian Renaissence.

GOLF South West Florida has been called the golf capital of the world There are over 100 coast courses alone. There are few days that you cannot play due to the weather and they are considerably less crowded from May to October.

BONITA SPRINGS Located betwixt Fort Myers and Naples, Bonita Springs has an old fashioned, unhurried feel. Anglers are well catered for since they claim the best backwater fish in America.

This where you see where the other half live-if you can afford it. The downtown area has just been freshened up and has real charm with its cobbled streets and gas lights.
