A Morning At Epcot
As with all the Theme Parks if you traveling without children try to visit on a school day as the Parks are noticeably less crowded. If you need to visit during a school holidays, try to visit Epcot earlier in the week, as most visitors go to Magic Kingdom first when they arrive at Walt Disney World.
A large part of Epcot' s appeal are their great full-service restaurants. However if you intend ending your morning with lunch I very strongly advise you to book ahead so that you will not be disappointed on the day.
Epcot is divided into two parks, Future World and World Showcase. Future World usually opens at 9. 00am and World Showcase at 11. 00am but as with all the Parks do check opening times on line before you go.
I recommend you be at the Park gates when Epcot opens, this is a lovely time of day at Epcot whilst although busy it is much less frantic than later in the day.
When the gates open, walk to the right of the massive Spaceship Earth that dominates the Park' s entrance plaza and head towards The Land pavilion and the Soarin' ride. Here you will get FastPasses, which are Disney' s ride reservation tickets, for everyone in your party. That will allow you to return to Soarin' later in the morning without having to wait in a longer stand-by queue.
Once you have got your FastPasses, cut across Future World to your first ride of the day Test Track. After you have been on this walk you go next door to Mission Space.
You can then head back to the entrance plaza for a ride on Spaceship Earth. After this you can return to the Land pavilion and your final ride, Soarin’. You simply go to the FastPass return line, which will allow you to skip what will by now be a long stand-by queue.
It will now be lunchtime and we often eat at the Coral Restaurant which is located in The Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion, next door to The Land where can dine with the fishes. Among those you might see include: Brown Shark, Stingray, Grouper, Tarpon, and the Green Sea Turtle.
Last time we went my Mother and I shared as a main course an appetizer for two which was Seared Scallops with a cauliflower foam with black truffle vinaigrette; Grilled shrimp with cucumber salad and BBQ beef skewer with creamy polenta. My Father had his favourite of Grilled Mahi Mahi with a spicy pineapple chutney over cashew-jasmine rice he said it was delicious. None of us could resist their Chocolate Wave which was served with raspberries. A perfect ending to a lovely if hectic morning.
