Starting the day at Epcot with children
We have many different ways to start our day with the girls at Epcot so I thought I would just share a few of them with you.
If we have not had time to sit down together and plan our day before we get to the Park we head straight to Fountainview café. Whist the adults relax with their coffees the girls usually have a croissant or pastries and between us we plan our day.
On days that we arrive at the park and already know what we are going to do during that visit rather than head for fastpasses we go to the Character Connection and there we always find lots of characters. At that time of day there are not so many people around and the characters will even play tag with you, you get some great photo opportunities.
However if you want to go on Soarin or Test track now is the time to head to get your Fastpass.
If you want to treat your family to a character breakfast the Princess Breakfast in Norway is a great place to go, the food is good and the characters make a great fuss of the children.
At the Nestle Toll House booth in the Land pavilion several times a day they will choose a group of children to help ' bake' the cookies. If you get there early you have a good chance of being chosen. The children get chefs hats and free cookies to take away with them.
Innoventions East and West can be surprisingly quite at the start of the day. Make sure you pick up maps of Innoventions at the entrance. The maps list different stations designated by a road sign number. As your children visit the stations, have the Cast Member initial the map on the signs. When certain stations are visited and the map initialed the child will receive a little paper card ' driver' s license. ' The girls enjoy Plastic Council best. Following a brief introduction to plastics, each group gets to compete in a virtual race (they run and jump in place while their robot races on a computer screen). Then the children make their own robot out of plastic parts and they are allowed to take the robot home with them.
Finally if you go to World Showcase just as it opens head straight to the first KIdcot station in Mexico and get the children’s masks. At this time of day it is easy to go from country to country as the cast members have plenty of time to spend with the children and are only too happy to have their photos taken with them.
