Adventure Land rides for teens by a teen
Pirates of the Caribbean
Watch out! Pirates! But this ride isn’t really that scary. Sure there is one little drop but Splash Mountain shouldn’t be worried about competition! After the drop you are thrust into a pirate invasion. There are singing pirates, jailed pirates and drunk pirates… All the pirates you could ever want! The animatronics are wicked good and the ride has been updated by adding Jack Sparrow. All this ride need is a hunky hero (I recommend Orlando Swoon - I mean Orlando Bloom) and it’s a picture perfect pirate invasion!
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Four people sit in an “enchanted” carpet. If you sit in the front you control the height of the carpet, at the back you tilt the carpet. It is a richly decorated ride. There are rich colors and jewels everywhere, with that great decorating scheme you could swear you are in Agrahba. Also when on the ride look down at the bazaar, now that’s what I call window shopping! The ride is kind of aimed at younger children but there are ways to make it fun. For example I have a certain brother that hates rough rides, so I sit in the front and bump the ride up and down. Hehe…
Jungle Cruise
Lions, tigers and pythons, oh my! This ride is a ten minute “jungle cruise”. The lines are usually long. With animals and corny jokes, what’s not to love? Although I do enjoy the ride after about 10 rides the jokes tend to get old because the skipper’s joke routine doesn’t change. Although it is still a good ride especially if you go on it with someone who has never been on it before. There are supposedly scary animals but it is obvious that they are animatronics which makes it hilarious. There are places on this ride where you may get wet but I won’t spoil it for you.
The Tiki Room: Under New Management
Let me tell you: Iago is one sassy bird. This show starts off cute with little birds singing, then Iago and Zazu interrupt as the owners and all hell breaks loose. Seriously, there are gods and lightning involved. The lines are normally not too long and while you wait there is a pre show. This show was reinvented by adding Iago and Zazu. Also don’t worry about getting a bad seat as every seat is a good seat. This is a good place to go if you are over heated and tired as the theater is cool and you sit for the entire show. P. S. Swiss Family Tree house
A tree house. Yep, that’s what this is. Sorry, if I sound unenthusiastic but this attraction does nothing for me. No thrills, no spills… It’s not even interactive. All you do is walk around an obviously plastic tree house. I have read the book and seen the movie that is the background of this “attraction” and that still doesn’t make it better. My brother enjoys it though so maybe it’s just not for me.
