Dennys at Anytime
I expect when you travel around Orlando you have seen many Denny’s restaurants. We are fortunate that we have one about a mile away from our villa at Lindfields and we always have at least one meal there every time we go to the villa.
This Dennys is situated in the Summer Bay Complex which is located at the end of the 192 just before it meets the 27. It is open 24 hours a day as I believe the majority of them are. The entrance to Dennys is through the Tourist Information Centre and this can be quite useful because once I have ordered my meal I leave the others at the table whilst I go and get discount cards and vouchers from the Tourist Centre.
As this restaurant is so close to the 27 it can be very busy at breakfast times as motorists travelling to Disney from the 27 tend to pull in for breakfast as this is the first restaurant they see on the 192. There is also a Publix on this site so the shoppers also call in for meals at different times of the day.
Whenever we go to a restaurant we ask if possible for a table rather than a booth as we find unless we do this we are seated at a booth and a table gives you far more flexibility. The service in this particular restaurant is usually very speedy and you soon get your drink and your menus. If my parents go there on their own and there is a wait for a table they tend to eat at the small bar area.
Dennys provide a great selection of food throughout the day and have special Seniors menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Last time we were over they were advertising Special Value Menus all day every day with items priced at $2 $4 $6 $8 and these offered quite a good selection of food.
Our usual visit is for breakfast and they cater for all types of appetites. My Mother for some reason always has their Sirloin Steak (she rarely has steak at home! ) with lots of Steak Sauce. Dad usually has the Grand Slam which seems to have everything accompanied by huge pancakes. Last time I had their “Moons over my Hammy Omelette” this was a three egg omelette with ham and melted cheeses it really was to die for but I could not eat again until evening!
If you are there at lunchtime they have a great selection of burgers, salads and soups. For Dinner you can enjoy Meatloaf, different Chicken and Steak dishes as well as great Fish dishes. If you still have room for dessert you can “Build your Own Sundae”.
Anytime at Dennys I am sure you will enjoy your meal.
