Shulas Steakhouse WDW Dolphin
This really is a wonderful place to dine and enjoy the finer food and drink of this world but at a price. However the service and food at this restaurant is exceptional. Pre- booking your table is essential here.
The dress code as you would expect is business casual dress. There is not a children’s menu but it is not really the type of restaurant that young children would appreciate or probably enjoy.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with very low lighting. Although the lighting creates a good atmosphere it does make it hard to read the wine menu. However when one of our cocktails came it had a green Tinkerbelle light in it that added even more to the atmosphere. The servers were most attentive; when we went we had one main server with three other helpers one of whom just dusted the table every time we spilt a crumb!
The wine list is very good and extensive and you can order wine by the glass. We asked our waiter for his advice and he recommended a Cabernet which we really enjoyed.
Rather than providing a menu the waiter recited everything there was on offer, I think I would prefer to see a menu and also the prices although we had already studied the menu via the internet. Before you order, your head server presents a cart with mouth-watering meat and a live lobster for you to choose from before it is cooked.
As an appetizer my Mother opted for the Beefsteak Tomato Salad which was very good whilst I enjoyed Tomato and Mozzarella Chopped Salad. We had both seen the size of the main course and side dishes so decided to be cautious to start with. My Father had the Barbecued Shrimp Stuffed with Basil which looked as delicious as he said it was.
For his main course my Father ordered a NY Steak the size of which I have never seen before and it came brimming with juices. My Mother had the Grilled Salmon Filet which was very moist but charred on the outside. I ordered a Filet Mignon which came with parsley on top and was juicy and had a lovely charred flavour. Dad and I declared that these were two of the best steaks we have had.
Mom had the Lobster Mashed Potatoes as a side whilst my Father and I shared a Baked Potato and a side of Broccoli.
For dessert mom and I shared a scrummy Chocolate Lava Cake (which would easily have fed four) whilst Dad enjoyed his usual Key Lime Pie.
Although it is pricey if you are looking for a place with superb steaks, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere this is the place to dine.
