Things to do in Florida
Staying in a villa near to Disney World Orlando and surrounding areas is less expensive than most people think. These days it’s not considered to be a once in a life time holiday, more and more families go there on a regular basis because there is so much more to do than the Theme Parks even though the Theme Parks are the main reason a lot of families go.
Staying in a villa gives you the option of eating in as well as trying the range of different foods from around the world. The restaurants in Florida are in abundance, the cater for all tastes and can be as inexpensive as you like or you can push the boat out and have some more expensive fine dining. With a family there are lots of places that cater for children where they can eat free under certain ages, this you would need to check with the individual restaurants.
As well as the Theme Parks there are the superb beaches, You could combine a day at Busch Gardens Tampa and go on to the gulf coast for a couple of days to stay near or on the beaches. Clearwater is one of the popular beach resorts with great beaches and plenty of other things to do such as sea fishing or for the brave, a trip on the sea screamer, an extremely fast power boat that seats about 20 people or so.
For some of the best sea food restaurants try Crabby Bills, they do some of the best crab there.
Going south down that part of the gulf coast are lots of areas and beaches to visit. You have Indian Rocks, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and of course St Peterburg all with different things to offer.
If you headed to the East coast from Orlando another great place to visit is Daytona beach where you can drive on the beach and park up and have a swim and a picnic, no problem finding a parking place! Whilst at Daytona maybe a visit to the raceway would go down well for all the family as it’s a legendary race track because of the Daytona 500 offering the best in high speed oval racing. If there’s no racing on when you visit you can get a guided tour and also drive one of there racing car simulators.
These are just a few ideas for holidaying in Florida, there are plenty more.
