TJ MAXX

TJ MAXX is an outlet style store with branches through out the Orlando area and also States wide. Similar to Ross Dress for less but a bit more upmarket and quality items are found in TJ MAXX in my opinion. It is similar to TK MAXX at home in the United Kingdom as Ross Dress for Less is similar to something like TJ Hughes.

TJ MAXX is often very busy and sometimes the queues can be long! However if you are a true shopaholic and bargain hunter as I am you can just about put up with this. It is a good tip however to leave kids and partners behind!

It is also best to try to visit early and not on a weekend, especially Sunday’s. If you go to the branches in the tourist areas like I Drive be prepared for it to be busy most of the time. The opening hours are good though and it is open until 9 pm every day except Sunday where it closes at 6 pm. For November and December some of the stores are open until 11 pm because of the holiday shopping!

Inside the store you will find various departments including:

Handbags: Lots and lots to choose from and lots of quality designer names to be found, mainly American and Italian designs. They also stock a decent range of luggage, so you can buy that extra case to put all your goodies in. They stock the likes of Samsonite and Delsey amongst other less well known names.

Shoes: Good selection of shoes in all sizes, again designer names can be found occasionally, I have seen the likes of Anne Klein, Ralf Lauren, DKNY to name a few of the more well known names. Also branded trainers like Nike, Reebok and Addidas.

Accessories: Hair decoration, belts, sunglasses, occasionally some of the Italian designer, but mainly in the summer and they don’t last for long, hats etc..

Toiletries: Bubble baths, bath salts, moisturisers, perfumes sometimes the like of Gucci and Versace turn up but always American products, toilet and make up bags, soaps,etc..

Ladies Wear: Absolutely everything you could imagine in all sizes as they have a plus section also, every one is generally catered for. The ladies lingerie and sleepwear section is particularly good.

Children’s wear: Normal thing, infant and baby wear.

Men’s wear: Good selection of men’s clothing, including sports wear with the likes of Nike, Reebok, and Addidas.

Teens: Good selection of the latest fashion to keep Missy and Master happy!

Jewellery: Some costume and lots of hall marked silver and gold at decent prices, their gold earrings are particularly good value is you are looking for a nice but quite inexpensive looking gift. They also sell some nice watches.

Home wares: Decorative items for every room in the house from lamps, throws, furniture, mirrors, cutlery, crockery, glassware, curtains, and curtain poles etc. etc..

Bedding: Comforter sets (Bed in a Bag), sheets, pillow slips, cushion, pillows. Duvets, covers etc. etc..

Towels: in every size and colour and some time designer names such as Hilfiger and Ralf Lauren.

Pictures and wall art.

Books: Only a small selection but nice coffee table books like biographies on Elvis, Marylyn Monroe etc plus cookbooks. Also lots of nice stationery.

Food items such as Candy, cookies, coffee, tea and spices. They stock lots of things from different parts of the globe. These items make nice gifts!

Defiantly worth a visit at least once, I can almost guarantee you will enjoy it and find a bargain or 10!
