Quality Seafood with a snap!
Some friendly neighbours invited us to their favorite restaurant on our last visit to Orlando! As polite, but quite reserved eaters we said yes, but asked where they had in mind!! Their tradition was to go to THE RED LOBSTER first night and last of each trip!! Well, as a regular to the Walmart on the 192, who loved to see the lobsters in the tank (though bit sad), the thought of eating one horrified my daughter, but I couldn’t wait, and my husband would only eat fish with batter on it, so we went along with some concerns it would be fair to say!
The atmosphere is great and the food is even greater. It is not your average run of the mill restaurant , but for people who enjoy good quality food that’s the place to go. Freshly caught Maine lobsters are available for a reasonable price, I was truly amazed, so was, him indoors!
Whether you like them whole served in their shell or half lobster tails dripping with garlic butter you will get the best in there. All sorts of other seafood is available, crayfish , crab and shrimp served several different ways , and of course for the one in the party that doesn’t like fish there is always a good selection of chicken or steaks. On certain evenings they have all you can eat shrimp deals the ordinary serving is beyond “ordinary”, so unless you are rather puckish, I wouldn’t go there!
When you get inside you will see a big tank of live lobsters, though it didn’t bother me, this can be a bit off putting, many of us do not want to pick out the actual lobster that we are going to eat. If there is a wait for a table, quite likely as we have since found this a popular chain, you are given a little bleeper if there is a wait for a table and as you are sitting at their bar it goes off to tell you they now have a table for you. The wait is never very long and it is well worth it even if you do have to wait a while.
We were also pleased to see that the menu had a good choice for those not quite so adventurous, my husband had a fabulous burger meal on one occasion (can you believe it?), my daughter goes for an English “traditional” fish and chips, but honestly 2 children could share, there was so much food!!!
Another specialty I discovered they have, is their cocktails, after all, you are on holiday, so after ordering one myself was told that the double ones were just a $ extra (hubby loves a bargain) so thinking it would be just that, a double, I went ahead and ordered , to find that when it arrived it was absolutely
The service is excellent , as is most of the places we have eaten in Florida , the servers do their best and are very friendly and helpful. Certainly one on my returning lists.
